About Us

Joseph Effiong is the Founder of Be Exceptional Teachers Foundation, a solution that is taking actions to elevate the status of the teaching profession. It was established as a response to the global lockdown of schools during the 2020 Covid-19 outbreak. It initially ensures learning never stops even with the global lockdown. Teachers and students drawn from the College of Education and Faculties of Education gathered at our Facebook platform to learn while schools were under keys. Beyond the lockdown, Be Exceptional aims to raise the next generation of influential teachers who will be locally productive and globally relevant. The network unbundles the traditional competition among teachers to allow for collaboration and strengthen the cause of teachers and schools by providing the opportunity for all to learn, support and share together. Using the Be Exceptional Network he is currently championing a mission to empower 10,000 Teachers in Akwa Ibom State with Google For Education Skills. Joseph founded his low income school (Golden Schools Ibaka) where he introduces early leadership as the core of learning for the young learners who now become advocates of change. He strives to lay a solid foundation for Leadership, Africa’s most hunted problem and also envisage an Education that pays for itself. He is the Lead Volunteer #KickOutVerbalAbuse and is driven by the belief that “Love lights up the brain”, so he infuses into every relationship a great sense of camaraderie and empathy. Joseph is a School Growth Strategist, a Microsoft Certified Educator, Content Creator, advocate for girl child and hopes to see a Nigeria where a woman will become President

Ndifreke Enefiok Jacob, is a graduate of Communication Arts from the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, who has etched her mark as a dedicated journalist and storyteller. Her love for telling stories deeply rooted in African culture stands her out. Ndifreke is not merely a professional journalist; she is also a fervent advocate for social change. Her role as a Social Media Influencer for the Journalist Alliance Against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence showcases her commitment to addressing critical issues plaguing our society. Her work extends beyond traditional journalism, cutting across sectors of advocacy and activism. Throughout her career, Ndifreke has collaborated with various organizations, including Make A Life Foundation, Girls Arise, and Pad-Up the Girl. Her dedication to the development of young people and championing boys' rights has allowed her to make a meaningful impact on vulnerable communities. In addition to her journalistic pursuits, Ndifreke has held leadership positions and spearheaded campaigns that aim to uplift the less fortunate. Her visionary approach to leadership has made her a standout figure in her field. She has headed numerous media campaigns, leaving an indelible mark as a young and evolving leader. Ndifreke Enefiok is greatly inspired by powerful women like - Joan of Arc, Mother Theresa, Amelia Earhart, J.K Rowling, Mira Murati, Susan Li, Michelle Obama, Angela Merkel, Oprah Winfrey, Christiane Amanpour, Ruona Agbroko Meyer, Maupe Ogun etc. Her dream is to own one of the biggest all female led media organization in the world and grow more capacity for women in media and advocacy. Her watchword is deeply rooted in Amelia Earhart's word - `woman who can create her own job is the woman who will win fame and fortune.`

Ukeme Edet Umoren is a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia with Masters degrees in anesthesiology and internal medicine. Her doctorate is in Medical Science from the University of Lynchburg in Virginia. She is a board-certified anesthetist and an internal medicine practitioner with over 25 years of experience. She is the CEO of two non-profit organizations that provide scholarships for primary, secondary, and university education for the brightest among our children who are from underprivileged families. Her Foundations also provide funds for medical and surgical intervention, disaster relief, and extend assistance to those in prison, and various other needs across Nigeria. Dr.Umoren believes providing selfless service to humanity is our way of showing gratitude for this life God has given us free of charge

Engr.Iniubong Eyo is a respected teacher, coach, and leadership mentor, Who is passionate about helping humanity understand and reclaim God's original purpose for their life. Because he believes that every child was born to do something significant in life and leave nutrient for the seed of the next generation to take root in and grow

Maryann Osuyak is a legal practitioner at the Law Lounge. A graduate of law from the University of Uyo, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, who was recently called to the Nigerian Bar. Prior to working at the Law Lounge, she worked at two reputable law firms. And asides from law, she has a background in frontend development and has worked on diverse projects. A humanitarian at heart, she has been involved in various projects created for the purpose of helping out people

Unyime Edet is a graduate of Computer Science from Akwa Ibom State University, Ikot Akpaden, Mkpat Enin. He is currently an academic staff of the Department of Computer Science, Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua and he is an active member of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS)
